Wildlife Season on Costa Rica’s Whale Coast

During Wildlife Season, Kura sits above Costa Rica’s Whale Coast, overlooking Ballena Marine National Park and its distinctive whale-tail shoreline.
The forest around the hotel becomes more active, while marine activity increases offshore during certain months, including migrating whales.
Experiences are optional and naturally paced, from time at the hotel to guided outings nearby. Sightings are never guaranteed, but this is a strong window to experience the Pacific coast in a quieter, more open way.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Outings into the waters below Ballena Marine Park, where whale presence increases during migration months and dolphins are commonly seen. Experiences are planned around ocean conditions rather than fixed schedules.
Guided experiences focused on sloths, monkeys, and birdlife in the surrounding forest. These outings are optional and paced to match guest preference.
Visits to nearby waterfalls, where seasonal rains bring stronger flow and a more active landscape. Timing is adjusted based on daily conditions.
Unstructured time to enjoy the setting—whether by the pool, in your villa, or overlooking the coastline. Many guests find this becomes the most memorable part of their stay.

Wine Jr/Wine Master
- Both include 2 bottles or 10 glasses per couple, per day.

- Wine Master: includes all the wines on the menu, except Moët Chandon, Angelica Zapata Malbec, Tara Chardonnay.
